Based in Haines, AK with her three daughters and best friend Bindi by her side, Dr. Oakley's entire life has been driven by her love of animals. Whether she's making a house call or traveling halfway around the world on her TV show The Yukon Vet. her family supports her mission of helping animals - whatever the need.
Empowered by meeting chimpanzee expert Jane Goodall when she was 11, Dr Oakley developed a passion for animal conservation - and she hasn't stopped since.

BECAME A REALITY
Let me start by saying this: helping animals is my passion.
This isn't just my job. It's what I want to do from the minute the sun comes up in the morning until my head hits the pillow at night. Doing my show Dr Oakley, Yukon Vet on Disney+/NatGeo the past 12 season has only allowed me more opportunities to travel and work with vets and organizations around the world that believe in the same thing I do. I came to one conclusion:
We need more help.
So many companies over the years have approached me to help sell their products. It was not something I had the time or interest in doing.
