+Dr Oakley has been an international animal rescue veterinarian for over 20 years. She is based in Haines, Alaska where she lives with her 3 daughters and her Australian shepherd Bindi. Dr. Oakley’s entire life has been driven by her love of animals. Whether she’s making a house call or traveling around the world with her TV show Dr. Oakley, Yukon Vet, her whole family supports her mission of helping animals, whatever the need.
What is Dr. Oakley’s TV show and where can we find it?
+Dr Oakley’s show is called Dr. Oakley, Yukon Vet and it is currently airing its 12th season on National Geographic’s NatGeo Channel. You can also find the show streaming on Disney Plus. The show highlights Dr. Oakley’s veterinary work in both Alaska and around the world.
Why did Dr. Oakley start BetterWild?
+Being on TV for as many years as she has, Dr Oakley has been approached multiple times about endorsing a product or starting her own brand, but for one reason or another, she’s always said no. A few big things came together to make the timing right for BetterWild. After seeing how many animals around the world, especially dogs, were suffering from many of the same problems, Dr Oakley knew she could help bring together a team that could find a solution. This is how BetterWild was born - out of the need for functional supplements that could address the biggest issues facing dogs today.
